Acting: Realism and Beyond​

Acting: Realism and Beyond is for theater professionals who want to expand their approach to performance. Through the study of different types and styles of theatre, students will learn different acting methodologies for realistic and non-realistic plays. Every student will perform scene and/or monologue work throughout the course and will be taught and directed by AD Marti Lyons. This class is for actors, directors, and practitioners looking to sharpen their skills and further develop their confidence in engaging a wide range of material.

DATES: 6 sessions: Wednesdays July 26, Aug. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

TIME: 6:00-9:00pm

All industry classes will take place at the Remy Bumppo Rehearsal Room: 1751 W. Grace Street, Chicago, IL 60613.

Registrants are required to wear a mask entering into the space for the first day of the class session. Students and instructors will have the opportunity to discuss comfort levels around masking together.
