Viewpoints Workshop: Directors

This Viewpoints workshop with Ashley Neal is specifically for directors or those who wish to direct. Directors can use the Viewpoints in innumerable ways in their own rehearsals. The most basic function of this work is to create a common language with which to create and critique. We will explore the foundations of Bogart’s Viewpoints as an ensemble and then apply them to compositions with each director spending time as both an inside eye (performer) and outside eye (director).

About the Instructor

Ashley Neal is a professional Actor in Chicago where she has worked with many theater companies including Rivendell Theater Ensemble, A Red Orchid, Steep, Steppenwolf, The Goodman, and many more. She has taught Acting, Movement, and The Viewpoints all over Chicago for many years. She received her BFA from Columbia College Chicago and completed post graduate programs at Black Box, School at Steppenwolf, and Siti Company.
