The Life of Galileo

By Bertolt Brecht
Translated by David Hare
Directed by Nick Sandys
March 23 – May 1, 2016

Galileo knows the pleasure of discovery, the empowering nature of knowledge, and more than the powers-that-be would prefer. As he fights to share his discoveries with the common man, he is forced to consider what leaders owe to their followers – especially in the face of mortal danger. The past parallels the present in Brecht’s highly theatrical parable about the struggle between science and authority.
