What Moves Us: Advanced Intimacy Choreography Workshop
This 3-hour advanced virtual workshop with Jenn Dobby will train participants to master the necessary preparation, documentation, language, and movement techniques required to create impactful and unique intimacy choreography, using scenes from existing theatrical repertoire. The start of the workshop will review the fundamentals of intimacy direction and consent/boundary practices, so there is not a pre-requisite required beyond some previous experience either acting, directing, or choreographing for live theatre!
Note that participants will be placed into breakout groups for some collaboration work within this workshop. Cameras will not be required, but a working microphone will be important for these collaboration sections.
This is a virtual class, and students will need to be able to participate at the time of the class as it will not be recorded.
DATE: Saturday, January 10
TIME: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
COST: $60
CAP: 20 students
A Zoom link will be sent prior to the class.
