Join Remy Bumppo for a virtual lecture on the Minimalist art movement by Joanna Pinksy, Founder and Artistic Director of Art Encounter, followed by a conversation between RBTC Artistic Director Marti Lyons and Ms. Pinsky. They will discuss RBTC’s production of ‘Art’ by Yasmina Reza and how modern art influences the characters in the play, and by extension, our own relationships to art and each other. Free to attend! About Joanna Pinsky

Joanna Pinsky www.joannapinsky.com is a painter, co-founder and Artistic Director of Art Encounter, a non-profit art education organization www.artencounter.org. As Artistic Director, she has developed programs aimed at bringing an understanding of modern and contemporary art to people of all ages through interactive conversations and has led trips to art destinations around the world. Pinsky’s paintings have been exhibited in N.Y. City, Santa Fe, N.M., Osaka, Japan and Hanover, Germany along with frequent solo and group exhibits in the Chicago area and currently is exhibiting new work at Space 900 Gallery in Evanston.  Pinsky has a B.F.A. from Cornell University.
