• ELSIE: (20s, can be played by women in their 40s to give the
  appearance of age and time) Black Woman. Poised. Proper. Soft.
  Desperate to find a sense of belonging.

• FRANCES: (20s, can be played by women in their 40s to give the
  appearance of age and time) Black Woman. Tough. Fighter.
  Persistent. Not easily contained, especially when she believes in
  something.

• REGINE: (25-40) Black Woman. Well-educated. Reserved. Guarded
  and worrisome. Wife to Davin. Sister to Toshi. Somewhere a
  vulnerable and fragile soul.

• TOSHI [OFFER PENDING]: (25-28) Black Woman. Fiesty. Impulsive.
  Resistant. Rough around the edges and a former drug addict.
  Girlfriend to Tyriek. Sister to Regine. Somewhere a deep and wise soul.

• DAVIN: (35-40) Black Man. Patient. Supportive. Optimistic. Can be
  pushy in his positivity. Husband to Regine.

• TYRIEK: (28-30) Black Man. Sharp. Calculating. Former thug looking
  for a second chance at life. Boyfriend to Toshi
